Instructions for InkLevel v2.0
If you have InkLevel v3.0 or above, you DON'T need to read below instructions.

Instructions for v2.0
1. install InkLevel utility

2. turn ON your printer and wait for printer to stop startup procedure

3. start InkLevel v2.0 from programs menu or from DOS screen


Problems? You only get "Please wait...." message ?
Before continue reading, don't forget that ALL above REQUIREMENTS must be reached. Otherwise, below solutions won't help at all.

Follow each of this suggestion in the order as they are writen and test have you solved your problem after EACH step.
Solution 1close InkLevel window, turn OFF your printer, wait 20 seconds, start InkLevel utility (repeat above instructions)

Solution 2:
close InkLevel window, turn OFF your printer, disable "Epson Status Monitor" from "Startup" program group, restart your computer, start InkLevel utility (repeat above instructions)

Solution 2b: How to disable "EPSON STATUS MONITOR"?
Click on "Start" menu, choose "Run", type "msconfig", then click on "StartUp". Then UNCHECK each line that has word "EPSON" in line name or path name. Now restart(!) your computer and start InkLevel utility (use above manual instructions).

Solution 3:
close InkLevel window, turn OFF your printer, restart InkLevel utility few times and each time restart your computer too (even 5-6 times in some rare cases, depending on your background tasks). Or start you Windows OS in FULL MSDOS mode.

Solution 3b: How to start in FULL MSDOS mode?
Before Windows start to bootup (few seconds after BIOS test screen and BEFORE you get Windows logo screen), click few times on F8 key and you will get 'hidden' boot menu, then choose "Prompt mode only". Now continue with InkLevel manual instructions.



If you have Mac computer, you could use some MSDOS/Windows emulators
(this is not tested procedure but that's all I can help to Mac users, or get on E-CHIP Resetter device).
